Trump Settled Too Cheaply…
Why did President Trump let ABC off so cheaply by agreeing to a $15 million settlement on the slander charge against Democrat operative posing as a journalist George Stephanopoulos?
The settlement is roughly 10 percent of the $148 million Trump’s lawyer Rudi Giuliani was ordered to pay two poll workers who claimed he accused them of election fraud.
In a just world Trump would have held out for enough to give to Giuliani to pay off his court-ordered obligation, which has bankrupted the man who brought law and order and rebirth to New York City after Sept. 11, 2001.
The Hogwash Report Gold Star to Sam Faddis
Kudos to Sam Faddis of And Magazine for his article America’s Most Corrupt Administration Just Got Worse.
It pointed out some Hogwash from the long list of pardons or commutations handed down by President Joe Biden recently — in addition to the pardon of almost any possible crime his son Hunter might have committed.
Item: Yanjun Xu, a Chinese spy who was sent here to gather information that would help China attack our military.
“This case sends a clear message: we will hold accountable anyone attempting to steal American trade secrets,” said U.S. Attorney Kenneth L. Parker for the Southern District of Ohio. “Xu conspired to steal American science and technology. Thanks to the diligent work of the FBI, GE Aviation and our trial team, he’ll spend decades in federal prison.”
Xu was sentenced to 20 years in prison two years ago, but now has been pardoned by Biden and ordered released from custody.
Item: Ji Chaoqun worked for Chinese intelligence under the above named Xu. Chaoqun joined the U.S. Army in 2016 and told his Chinese operatives he had successfully infiltrated the U.S. Military and would seek citizenship so he could obtain a top-secret high security clearance. He was caught, imprisoned, but Biden just pardoned him and ordered him released.
Item: Jin Shanlin, whose family is highly connected in the Chinese Communist Party, was a doctoral student at Southern Methodist University when he was arrested for having child pornography. At the time of his arrest he had more than 47,000 images and videos on his computer. He was sentenced in 2021 to eight years in prison, but Biden has pardoned him and ordered him released.
(Sarcasm Alert) Of course President Biden never saw any of the millions of dollars Hunter Biden allegedly got from the Chinese government.
The commutations also included Rita Crundwell, who was sentenced to almost 20 years in prison and was set to be released in five years. She was convicted of embezzling $53.7 million from the city of Dixon, Ill., where she was comptroller and treasurer from 1983 to 2012.
Slow Joe Really Came Up With 1,500 Pardons?
Many are questioning how Joe Biden, who can barely hold a thought with both hands, really considered who he was pardoning. How many people in his administration came up with this many friends and relatives to extract so many commutations from the oft comatose one, you know — the Big Guy. We hope they weren’t selling these commutations for ill-gained profit.
But, actually, pardoning people came easy for Joe. According to Wikipedia the 45th President pardoned or commuted the sentences of 8,027 convicts, or ex convicts, in his four years in the White House. That’s 7,790 more that Donald Trump, and 4,134 more than the next most prolific pardoner, Franklin Delano Roosevelt. But Roosevelt was president for 12 years. Only seven other presidents pardoned more than 1,000.
(Sarcasm Altert) But, Biden always was an over achiever. Remember in 2020 he got more than 81 million votes, the most for any president ever. And, it’s fun to imagine how rich he would be today if he hadn’t spent 50 years in public service. He made most of his money in the four years he was a private citizen.
Kamala Kaptures The Most Losing Votes
Here are some interesting facts you probably haven’t seen elsewhere.
Kamala Harris received 75,009,338 votes, the most votes ever received by a losing candidate for the U.S. presidency. Her total was 785,363 more than Donald Trump received in 2020.
Apparently the Democrats miscalculated how many votes Kamala would need to beat Trump this time.
Her vote total was impressive. It was 5.5 million more votes than Barack Hussein Obama received in 2008.
Someone Reading This Must Be 112
Americans must be living longer than people in any other country, according to information provided to Sen. John Kennedy, R-La. Speaking before the Senate on Dec. 3, Kennedy reported that according to the Social Security Administration, there are 6.5 million people in America that are 112 years old.
He said according to other sources there are roughly 40 people in the world at any given time that are 112 years old. Why the discrepancy? It must be hogwash.
Some members of The Hogwash Report’s staff said there are days when they identify as a 112 year old. Maybe that’s what the Social Security Administration is counting?
Sen. Kennedy says he has found wasteful examples of BILLIONS of dollars of taxpayer money being sent to dead people. The video below is worth watching. Since it was posted earlier this month, 1.2 million people have watched it.
The Wishy-Washy Watch List
According to wholeamericancatalog.substack, here is the list of wishy-washy Republican senators to watch:
Susan Collins, R-Maine
Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska
Bill Cassidy, R-Louisiana
Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky
Todd Young, R-Indiana
Thom Tillis, R-North Carolina
John Cornyn, R-Texas
John Curtis, R-Utah (replaced Mitt Romney)
Joni Ernst, R-Iowa
With just a 54-47 Republican majority, every vote is critical to get the Trump Agenda through. If you are represented by one of these, make sure you let them know your thoughts on major legislation and appointments.
The Swamp Takes Half a Year Off The Social Security Clock
The Senate Friday passed and sent a bill to Biden for his rubber stamp that will bankrupt the Social Security coffers a six months sooner. It will allow a lot of workers, who have never contributed to the Social Security fund, but are covered by government pensions, to now also access social security benefits.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, the measure will cost more than $190 billion over the next decade and means the Social Security trust fund will “be exhausted roughly half a year earlier than it would be under current law.”
And the Democrats said Donald Trump would kill Social Security and Medicare.
To be fair, too many Republicans supported the bill as well. It’s difficult to fight the swamp.
It was approved in a 76-20 vote. These high-profile senators did not cast a vote: Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Joe Manchin (I-W. Va.) and Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) did not vote.
Here are the 20 GOP senators who opposed the swamp on this one
Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.)
Sen. Katie Britt (R-Ala.)
Sen. Ted Budd (R-N.C.)
Sen. Mike Crapo (R-Idaho)
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas)
Sen. Steve Daines (R-Mont.)
Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa)
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa)
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.)
Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah)
Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.)
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.)
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah)
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-S.D.)
Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.)
Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.)
Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.)
Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.)
Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.)
In the end, more GOP senators voted for the measure than opposed it.
Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.), one of the Republicans who backed the bill, earlier this week said restoring millions of Americans’ full Social Security benefits wouldn’t cost that much in the grand scale of Washington spending.
You see, this senator from the conservative state of Indiana has been drinking too much swamp water when he says it “wouldn’t cost that much in the grand scale of Washington spending.”
Nah, 190-BILLLION isn’t that much considering we already have a 35-TRILLION dollar debt. There’s some thick hogwash.
Mr. Trump Goes To Washington, Again
Douglas Mackinnon, an opinion contributor to TheHill.com penned a readable piece headlined: “Trump’s Lawyers Are the Unsung Heroes of His Electoral Victory.”
You should read it all, but here’s how he finished it…
“In the iconic 1939 film “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” the Jefferson Smith character (Jimmy Stewart) is under constant assault by corrupt special interests, politicians and members of the media all looking to destroy him and his populist message for their own biased and greedy reasons (sound familiar?). As Smith prepares to fight to clear his name, a reporter played by Jean Arthur tells him, “It’s a 40-foot dive into a tub of water, but I think you can do it.”
The Trump legal team was forced to make multiple 1,000-foot dives into thimbles of water as they fought back against one invented legal scheme after the other. Time and again, the team prevailed. Be it twice with the Supreme Court; state and city jurisdictions; or, of late, against ABC News and George Stephanopoulos.
The Bird Flu Strikes Again
A new Bird Flu is striking coops across the country and the price of eggs is growing eggsponentially.
Wholesale prices for large eggs reached $5.57 a dozen in the midwest on Wednesday, up 150% from a year ago and topping the previous record of $5.46 from December 2022, commodity data firm Expana told TheGuardian.com.
The price hike comes as shoppers stock up for the holidays, and because flocks of egg-laying hens are smaller because producers haven’t recovered from losses to bird flu over the past two years, TheGuardian.com said.
The Biden Administration’s Department of Agriculture is eggstremely concerned about the issue and has drafted some eggstrordinary suggestions to get the situation under control:
Millions of dollars will be offered to Pfizer to fast track a new bird flu vaccine for shopper’s suffering eggstreme sticker shock at the grocery store. New boosters will be available every two weeks.
The USDA will provide free masks for the nearly 400 million layers working in America.
The USDA will implement a mandatory 6-foot spacing between all chickens.
Chicken worship services will be suspended until the bird flu pandemic subsides.
Chicks will be kept cooped-up from school. Eggsams will be given via the internet.
All chicken deaths will be counted as bird flu deaths, even if the death occurred at the hands of Colonel Sanders.
Veterinary hospitals will be paid, by the USDA, a minimum of $3,500 to treat bird flu patients, over and above the normal charges.
To avoid price gouging during this pandemic, the most any restaurant can charge for a two-egg omelette is $37.50.
Chickens should wash their hands every two hours.
Chickens should refrain from flying during this health emergency.
You will be glad to know there is no eggstra charge for this post.
