Thoughts from The Front Porch
As is our custom, we will attempt to get you up to speed on the latest trends for the coming year.
Moonstone Gray
That’s the fashionable color for 2025, according to Sarah Eggenberger, TODAY (NBC) contributor and Senior Editor-at-Large at NewBeauty magazine.
That seems a little bland, so it looks like the girls are going to tone it down a notch in 2025.
For just 40 bucks at Target you can sport this charming moonstone gray dress.
Moonstone Gray is also a popular color for vehicles as several brands are painting their models in that hue. Home Depot has the trendy color for your redecorating you have to keep up with the new trends.
In case you missed it, Peach Fuzz was the Pantone color of the year for 2024.
I didn’t see many cars that color this year.
Here are some other trends for 2025 you may (or may not) be interested in.
Trendhunter.com has listed 100 trends to watch in the coming year. We’ll list some highlights here:
Fenty and Pump collaborated on these Avanti pony hair sneakers.
I’m sure no ponies were harmed in the production of these shoes.
Cartoon inspired chunky shoes by XyberDreams. Elevator shoes must be coming back in style. There are many cartoon-style shoes coming down the street. No cartoon characters will be harmed in the production of these shoes, either.
Also, Shaquille O’Neal and Reebok are coming out with The Pepsi Sneaker and Puma and Cheetos have teamed up for a tasty pair of shoes.

Enough for the shoes. There will be lots of footwear choices in 2025.
There are big changes being pushed for cowgirl clothes.
The Wranger x Lainey Wilson Collection is hitting the trail in 2025. Laney is a trend-setting music artist. Here she’s wearing a trendy moonstone gray hat accenting a colorfully coordinated outfit.
Watch for ready-to-drink cans of “Happy Coffee.”
Happy Coffee, the brand co-created by Robert Downey Jr. and Craig Dubitsky, introduced itself to the world in early 2024, now it’s venturing into the canned drink market with cold brew, caramel latte, vanilla latte and mocha latte flavors, aimed at the younger crowd. But who doesn’t want to be happy?
Reddi Wip has teamed up with CLYDE.world to come out with a whipped cream-themed bucket hat.
You can own one for just $168 or with about three cans of Reddi-Wip for less than $10 you can make your own. Just don’t wear it out on hot days.
That’s probably enough of this nonsense fun for today.
