Charles, I feel your pain. I've also found out I have balloon genes, and I'm having a hard time trying to deflate the Jack blimp. Smaller portions, no snacks (I cheat, pretzels and Werthers are my poison), water instead of Dr. Pepper and sweet tea. It's become a habit dictated by healthcare professionals, but it really isn't fun. Diets aren't fun, but they're preferable to funerals. Got your back on this one, buddy.
You can check Rebel out at Walmart. They have it. Try following a diabetic diet. It doesn't focus as much on calories as much as what is healthy for you. Check the labels on everything. 30 carbs per meal is what they recommended and 3 grams of sugar or less. You can do it!

Think of it as a lifestyle change. The word diet has a temporary connotation to most of us. You can do it! (Rebel ice cream is good at Giant Eagle.)
